Alex Vigneault was born and raised in Quebec, Canada. Being passionate about ice hockey, he played this sport at a high level until 2013.

In 2013, Alex decided to transition into CrossFit. The sport was growing fast in Quebec City, so he decided to dedicate more time to it.

Alex's competitive CrossFit career started in 2014 when he qualified for his first CrossFit Regionals. Alex finally qualified for his first CrossFit Games in 2015 while being full-time at school.

Years passed and Alex continued to be a reference in the sport worldwide. In 2021, Alex finished 8th worldwide at the CrossFit Games for his best finish ever.

Alex is now a father of two, a police officer and still one of the best athletes in the world. He's confident that his best years in the sport are still ahead.
